Trewithick House has the symmetrical Georgian layout consisting of four large ground floor rooms all accessed off a spacious slate flagged central hallway with white painted turning staircase to the rear. The sitting room now has carpet over the slate flagstones and a bay window added at some point providing excellent outlook across the front garden and over the village. There is a large feature fireplace with multifuel stove set within it. Across the hall is the dining room with a smaller slate fireplace with smaller multifuel stove set within it. The floor is carpeted and apparently wooden floorboards beneath it.
To the rear of the property is the large kitchen with Aga which provides radiant heating and hot water. Above the Aga is a clothes drying rack and again the slate flagstone floor. There are lots of wooden kitchen units and it comes with a secondary electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge. A small porch leads to the back door, there is plumbing here for a washing machine and within the porch is a low access door to a small cellar under the bathroom.
The fourth ground floor room, again with slate flagstones is used as a utility with plenty of room for more freezers, storage, etc and part is sectioned off to provide a cloakroom with wc and handbasin.
Halfway up the stairs is the bathroom with mixer shower over the bath, wc, hand basin, wall heater and electric towel rail.
The first floor has a large central landing with the 5 bedrooms off it. Bedroom 1 (double) to the front has a commanding view over Trelights and there is a hand basin within the room. Bedroom 2 (double) to the rear has a double aspect outlook and there is a fitted wardrobe, airing cupboard and hand basin. Bedroom 3 (double) also to the rear has a door to external staircase leading down to the rear courtyard. Bedroom 4 (double) to the front has a wardrobe and Bedroom 5 (single) to the front had a built in wardrobe.
The loft hatch from the landing has a fitted ladder to gain access to the large unconverted loft which runs the full width of the property.
The front garden is south facing and level with the driveway passing the house to a detached block garage. There is a small stone and slate outbuilding, a 2nd very small stone building which would have been the outside toilet and a timber potting shed. Then there is a second smaller lawn to the west side of the property with fitted substantial rotary washing line. This lawn leads to a lean to green house and some apple trees with a natural hedge on the boundary.
To the rear of the property is a paved courtyard on which is a hand pump and slate water trough which is fed from a covered well.
The majority of the property has upvc double glazing but there are some single glazed wooden windows. There are also some night storage heaters to back up the multifuel stoves and Aga for heating.
